Seaward Pottery Boutique Accommodation T’s and C’s

We welcome you to enjoy a magical holiday home experience with your friends and family. We have worked hard to provide an exceptional property with all linen, excellent cooking / dining equipment and entertaining facilities provided. If you are unsure what you need to bring for your plans, please ask as may have already thought of it.

General Terms & Conditions agreed to when booking is confirmed by making the 20% deposit.

a) Booking Confirmation: All reservations, booking and enquiries can be made via the website or email and will be replied to as soon as possible, confirmation of the booking will be pending until the 20% deposit is received to confirm the booking

b) Deposit: 20% deposit is non refundable but is transferable to another date if changes in booking is requested more than 5 days prior to the check in date

c) Check In Policy: Standard check in time is from 2.00pm check out is 11am

d) Age Policy: All reservations received must be made by persons who are 18 years or older. Any person under the age of 18 year must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

e) Children Policy: We welcome children at no additional charge under the age of 12 years and older are classed as an adult

f) Dog Policy: We welcome well behaved dogs and owners. The property is not fully fenced so the dog must be kept under control and contained at all times. Dog poo must be picked up by the owners prior to checkout. A $100 fee will be invoiced for cleaning up of any mess left behind on check out

g) Property Damage: Please advise management of any damage to property or facilities asap. By confirming a booking with a 20% deposit guests understand and agree that they are liable to cover replacement or repair of property damage (both those reported or unreported and found by management on checkout). Guests will be invoiced for this damage once costs to replace or fix damage are determined

h) Additional Guests: The importance of accuracy when booking the of number of guests is understood, any additional guests must be pre-approved and are not required to be accepted over 12, additional guests may have additional charges per person

i) Parties and Events: If booking for a specific event or party this must be disclosed at the time of booking and pre approved by management. Additional fees apply for using the property for a party or event where people other than the specified guests in the booking are attending

j) Noise: Respectful noise and consideration of neighbours is agreed to by accepting these terms and conditions, guests understand and accept responsibility for any actions taken by the Kaikoura District Council if noise complaints are made

k) Currency & GST: All accommodation rates and services advertised, whether directly, via marketing or online are quoted in New Zealand dollars on a per night and/or person basis (as specified) and are inclusive of GST of 15%.

l) Force Majeure: Seaward Pottery Boutique Accommodation will not be in any breach of this agreement or in any way liable, if it is prevented from meeting its obligations due to an event of force majeure, such as an Act of God, War, Earthquake, Riot, Storm, Flood, Explosion, Strike, or any other cause not reasonably within the control of the property

Cancellation & Refund Policy

a) 20% deposit: This is required to confirm the booking is non-refundable. For bookings cancelled outside 5 days of the arrival date, 20% deposit is transferable to another available booking date.

b) 5 Day Cancellation Policy: If the booking is cancelled inside 5 days of the arrival date, they will incur a cancellation fee of a maximum of one night’s accommodation, a refund of any additional nights paid will be provided

c) No Show bookings: will forfeit the full accommodation charges

Payment

a) Online Direct Debit Payment: Confirmation of booking and payments will be emailed for your records with a 20 % deposit to confirm booking and balance due 5 days prior to arrival

b) Credit Card Payments: All credit card payments will be invoiced and are subject to a 2.5% credit card surcharge and this charge will be added to the invoice with the link to pay vias stripe. Credit card payments are made via our payment platform using a third-party provider, Stripe, who offers a secure payment system to protect customers credit card details with security settings that are compliant with all New Zealand regulatory and statutory regulations. Please note any credit card surcharge fees are not refundable.

c) International Payments: Prices are advertised in New Zealand dollars so the amounts charged to credit card payments may fluctuate due to exchange rate fluctuations as bookings are converted into New Zealand dollars at the exchange rate on the day it is processed. If any cancellations are refunded then these are also processed in New Zealand dollars at the exchange rate on the day that the refund is processed so there may be a variance to the initial amount charged. Seaward Pottery Boutique Accommodation is not liable for any exchange rate variances.

d) Refunds: Any refunds will only be made to the same credit card or account debited for the original transaction in line with our cancellation policy

Data Security

Seaward Pottery Boutique Accommodation takes the appropriate measures, in accordance with all regulatory requirements, to protect customer Person Information (PI) against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration or unauthorised disclosure or access. We have implemented technical measures such as firewalls, login password systems and physical protection to this end.

Personal Information (PI)

a) Information Required & Collection: We will only collect PI that is necessary for the purposes of data processing

b) We do not knowingly collect PI form children under the age of 18 years, except name, age and nationality as provided directly by an adult on their behalf or without a relevant adult’s permission

c) Storage of PI will be kept for the period for the purposes of the data processing and in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements

d) We will implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the customers PI against accidental or unlawful alteration or loss, or from unauthorised use, disclosure or access.
